Islam is a Religion of Peace

The word “Islam” is derived from the word meaning “peace”in Arabic. Quran is a book revealed to mankind as a guide to the true path and in this Book Allah commands all to adopt good morals. Morality is based on the concepts such as peace, compassion, and mercy. The first verse of the Quran breathes the spirit of peace; it reads: "In the name of Allah, the Most Merciful, the Most Compassionate". This verse is repeated in the Quran no less than 114 times which highlights the great importance to the values of Mercy and Compassion. One of the Almighty’s names is: “As-Salam”, which means Peace. Quran calls its way "…The ways of peace…" [5:16]. It describes reconciliation as the best policy and states that Allah abhors any disturbance of peace [2:205]. The ideal society, according to Quran is "Dar al Salam" which means the house of peace. The concept of peace in Islam is two-fold: First, to be at peace with Allah, i.e. attaining inner peace through submission to the Will of Allah. Secondly, Islam emphasizes on universal peace which links the entire humanity. Our Prophet PBUH greatly emphasized on peace and mercy to humankind.

أَقُول قَوْلِي هَذَا ، وَأَسْتَغْفِرُ اللّهَ لِيَ وَلَكُمْ ولِسَائِر الْمُسْلِمِي ، فَاسْتَغْفِرُوه ، إِنَهُ هُوَ الْغَفُور الرّحِيمُ.

بِسْمِ اللّهِ ، والْحَمْدُ ِلّهِ ، والصّلَاةُ والسّلَامُ عَلَى رَسُولِ اللّهِ ، صَلّى اللّهُ عَلَيْهِ وسَلَم

The principal teachings of Islam strongly advocate peace with everyone. Violence is a source of destruction and gives rise to negative values, while peace is a source of construction and encourages others to embrace Islam. There is unfortunately a lot of misinterpretation of the teachings of Islam, this misconception stems from the fear of the unknown. On the day of Judgment, Allah will say: “O peaceful soul, come and enter my paradise”, only those who have followed the path of peace in this world will be allowed an entrance into Paradise. May Allah make us among those who will be given permission to enter Jannah – Ameen.

عِبَادَ اللّهِ ، إنّ اللّهَ يَأْمُر بِالْعَدْلِ والْإِحْسَانِ وإيْتَاءِ ذِي الْقُرْبَى ويَنْهَى عَنِ الفَحْشَاءِ والْمُنْكَرِ والْبَغِي ، يَعِظُكُمْ لَعَلّكُمْ تَذَكّرُونَ . اُذْكُرُوا الَ الْعَظِيمَ يَذْكُرْكُمْ واشْكُروهُ يَزِدْكُمْ واسْتَغْفِرُوه يَغْفِرْ لكُمْ واتّقُوهُ يَجْعَلْ لَكُمْ مِنْ أَمْرِكُمْ مَخْرَجًا. وَأَقِم الصّلَاة

إنَّ الْحَمْدَ لِلهِ نَحْمَدُهُ وَنَسْتَعِينُهُ وَنَسْتَغْفِرُهُ ، وَنَعُوذُ بِاللهِ مِنْ شُرُورِ أَنْفُسِنَا وَمِنْ سَيِّئَاتِ أَعْمَالِنَا ، مَنْ يَهْدِهِ اللهُ فَلاَ مُضِلَّ لَهُ ، وَمَنْ يُضْلِلْ فَلاَ هَادِىَ لَهُ،وَأَشْهَدُ أَنْ لاَ إِلَهَ إِلاَّ

اللهُ وَحْدَهُ لاَ شَرِيكَ لَهُ ، وَأَشْهَدُ أَنَّ مُحَمَّدًا عَبْدُهُ وَرَسُولُهُ

يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا اتَّقُوا اللَّهَ حَقَّ تُقَاتِهِ وَلَا تَمُوتُنَّ إِلَّا وَأَنْتُمْ

مُسْلِمُونَ

يَا أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ اتَّقُوا رَبَّكُمُ الَّذِي خَلَقَكُمْ مِنْ نَفْسٍ وَاحِدَةٍ وَخَلَقَ مِنْهَا زَوْجَهَا وَبَثَّ مِنْهُمَا رِجَالًا كَثِيرًا وَنِسَاءً وَاتَّقُوا اللَّهَ الَّذِي تَسَاءَلُونَ بِهِ وَالْأَرْحَامَ إِنَّ اللَّهَ كَانَ عَلَيْكُمْ رَقِيبًا

يَاأَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا اتَّقُو اللَّهَ وَقُولُوا قَوْلاً سَدِيدًا * يُصْلِحْ لَكُمْ أَعْمَالَكُمْ وَيَغْفِرْ لَكُمْ ذُنُوبَكُمْ وَمَنْ يُطِعِ اللَّهَ وَرَسُولَهُ فَقَدْ فَازَ فَوْزًا عَظِيمًا

اما بعد:
إنَّ أَصْدَقَ اْلحَدْيثِ كِتَابُ اللّهِ وَأَحْسَنَ الْهَدْيِ هَدْيُ مُحَمَّدٍ وَشَرُّ الْأُمُوْرِ مُحدَثَاتُها وَكُلُّ مُحْدَثَةٍ بِدْعَةٌ وكُلُّ بِدْعَةٍ ضَلَالَةٌ وكُلُّ ضَلَالَةٍ فِي النَّار
